Behind the Scenes History Tour: The Mighty Maumee River

sandpiperJoin us for a Behind the Scenes History Tour of the Maumee River on the Sandpiper on Thursday, August 31st from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.  Enjoy a 2-hour narrated cruise on the mighty Maumee and learn about the history of Toledo's waterfront! Enjoy a picnic dinner of pita, hummus, subs, chicken salad, marinated vegetables and soft drinks provided by The Original Sub Shop and Deli as you take in the enchanting dusk views of downtown Toledo, view area wildlife, as well as the stately homes along the way. Tickets are $30.00 for Toledo History Museum members and $35 for non-members.   Tickets are available online below.  The Sandpiper will be docked at the National Museum of the Great Lakes for this special tour.  For GPS directions to the dock, use this address: 1701 Front Street, Toledo, Ohio. Free parking is available in the museum parking lot.  Please arrive at 6:30 to start the tour, we're leaving the dock at 7:00 pm.
